The leisure options in Madrid have increased since the end of 2013 with two new gaming venues in the center of the city.
The Casino Gran Madrid, in Torrelodones since 1981, has opened its new branch on Paseo de Recoletos: Casino Gran Madrid –Colón. This new venue, in a building that is an architectural point of reference after its total renovation, means to project a modern and futurist image, thanks to the original façade characterized by its sloped vertical panels.
With a surface area of 4,123.28 m2 spread over four floors, it houses complementary and auxiliary facilities including café and restaurant services, amongst which it is worth highlighting Restaurante Columbus, managed by Mario Sandoval, a Michelin-star chef.
Not far way, we come across El Casino Gran Vía, the new venue belonging to the Casino de Aranjuez, in an iconic building from 1924 that has been declared historical heritage.
The building has 4,500 m2, spread over three floors.
And to complete the leisure options, it also has a traditional Basque haute cuisine restaurant by the Goizeco firm and a champagne bar.
