22 people are stranded in Jammu and Kashmir flash floods.
As many as 11 tourists from Karnataka, including nine members of a family, are reportedly stuck in flood ravaged Jammu and Kashmir, much to the anxiety of their near and dear ones back home.
The family had booked Gulshan Palace at Srinagar and spoke to their daughter Srividya on Saturday evening and said that they were not able to venture out due to the heavy downpour.
After the news of floods in the country’s northern-most state started receiving prime time coverage in newspapers and TV channels, the family members were not reachable and with roads and communication lines snapped.
However, it is said that they had contacted some media persons and told them that they were safe. The available information is that they have been shifted to second floor of the hotel from first floor due to flooding.
