Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world’s largest regional theme park company, is the recipient of the first ever Texas Travel Industry Association Heritage Award. Jim Reid-Anderson, Chairman, President and CEO of Six Flags accepted the award at Tuesday night’s Texas Travel Summit held on Galveston Island.
Six Flags operates three parks in Texas – Six Flags Over Texas, its flagship location in Arlington; Hurricane Harbor, a 47-acre water park also in Arlington; and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, located in San Antonio.
“We are proud to select Six Flags Entertainment as our first recipient of TTIA’s Heritage Award,” said David Teel, President/CEO of the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA). “The organization’s long-standing commitment of excellence to their customers and their community has enriched the heritage of the travel industry in Texas. By providing great moments and memories that last a lifetime, Six Flags parks in Texas have made life better for many over the past 50 years.”
