The Royal Sonesta Boston has announced the completion of its recent renovation, which includes a redesign of 200 guest rooms; a brand new lobby featuring two new outlets, Studio (coffee shop), and Motif (lobby cocktail lounge); new waterfront meeting and event space with a terrace on the Charles River; a renovated fitness center; and an updated parking garage.
“Our location, views, food, and service have long been a favorite of business and leisure guests alike,” said Michael Medeiros, the hotel’s General Manager. “We are thrilled to introduce our beautifully reimagined hotel to guests and encourage them to experience our new Longfellow room meeting and event space and two new lobby dining options. This is a very exciting time and we look forward to providing an elevated experience for guests visiting the Boston/Cambridge area.”
Motif is a new contemporary lounge and meeting place located in the lobby, ideal for meeting up with friends and colleagues and enjoying cocktails before dinner. Motif features full bar service and creative cocktails made on our custom martini cart, along with small plates that are perfect for sharing.
The Longfellow Suites offer waterfront views from 2,100 square feet of new indoor and outdoor event space with its own Charles River-facing terrace, and is ideal for meeting and social events. The hotel also recently introduced the 3,000 square foot Riverside Terrace, which has become one of Boston’s premier outdoor venues for weddings, lunches and receptions – accommodating up to 250 guests with views of the Charles River and Boston city skyline.
