Nile River Explorers have made a pledge to organize Rafting for Rhinos race event on behalf of Rhino Fund Uganda once a year and with the help of local businesses make it even more a success each year.

On Saturday 10th November 2012 the fourth annual Rhino Raft Race will be held at Explorers River Camp at Bujagali. This will be the first year that the race will be held on the new Bujagali reservoir and we intend to take advantage of this to make sure it is an even bigger and better event. The Nile Explorer, a 2 storey pontoon boat, will be available for spectators to follow the race more closely and the course will utilise more of the area directly in front of Explorers River Camp.

As well as the usual teams of 6 racing from below the dam wall to Explorers River Camp just above the Bujagali Falls, we will again be offering extreme racing in two man rafts.

Teams are made up of corporates, friends, associations and NGO’s. The winning team gets to hold the Rhino Trophy until the next year.
