An investor in the tourist city in Al-Wajh governorate, which is among the first five tourist cities to be approved by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs recently, has confirmed that the project will be completed over multiple phases on an area of more than 2 million square meters on the governorate’s southern coast.
Ahmad bin Khalil Al-Maslamani said that the project will provide 2,000 jobs upon its completion, and will also provide investment opportunities for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The first phase is set to be implemented across a space of 60 hectares on the Red Sea coast, totalling four kilometres in length.
This phase which includes the construction of infrastructure, facilities and residential units, will be completed in three years.
Al-Maslamani said the second phase will be constructed over a space of 140 hectares, and will include an economic smart tourist city. This phase will be completed within five years.
