Kenya Airways New Dreamliner Spotted in Washington
The use of a new Dreamliner aircraft will offer passengers the latest inflight entertainment and feature a new cabin layout with improved features in both business and economy class for Kenya Airways. While the airline is preparing to receive its fifth B787-8 Dreamliner this coming weekend, news has emerged that the new aircraft will be deployed on the busy route to Dubai from October onwards.
The four B78s already flying for Kenya Airways are deployed on a number of routes including to Johannesburg and Paris, where they have replaced the fuel guzzling aged B767-300ERs which are now being phased out from the fleet to take full advantage of the 20 percent lower fuel burn, more seats, greater cargo uplift and wider range the Dreamliner has brought with it.
In a related development, it was also learned that Kenya Airways has made progress towards attaining the coveted 4-star ranking by Skytrax, which is a global aviation benchmark on the quality of services in the air and on the ground.
