Uganda’s Transport and Drainage systems in Kampala slums and its suburbs are yet to be improved by KIEMP project, funded by the Belgium Technical Corporation.

The Town Clerk of Kampala, Ruth Kijjambu says Belgium through KIEMP is working with Kampala City Council (KCC) to tarmac some roads in the city and open blocked drainages so as to smoothen the traveller’s movements.

“KIEMP is now operating in Kisenyi II in Kampala Central division, Katwe I in Makindye division and Bwaise III in Kawempe division,” said Ruth Kijjambu.
