Different people call it Gorilla tracking others Gorilla trekking and is a process of hiking the hilly areas to see the mountain gorillas in their natural environment/habitat or in the wild.
This exercise is commonly carried out in Bwindi forest Uganda, Virunga forest Congo and Volcanoes park Rwanda. Since it involves trekking, the gorilla tracker needs to be physically fit and stable. Therefore a trekker needs to pack at least 5 liters of drinking water and light snacks.
Trekking boots and Rain coats are some of the items that MUST be carried for a successful experience of the jungle.
Stretchers or Sedan chairs are available to trekkers that are not physically fit who may be sick, old or disable.
Porters charge them at a reasonable price bargainable basing on the distance to be cover.
