The tropical islands of the Seychelles used the EIBTM trade fair in Barcelona to tell the world that they are ready and have the right infrastructure in place to grow their business in the meetings, events, conference, incentives, and business travel industry. Through highly-targeted meetings, EIBTM brought the delegation face-to-face with the right buyers in the right organizations, to build relations and develop business.
The Seychelles Tourism Board’s delegation to EIBTM was headed by Bernadette Willemin, the Board’s Director for Europe based in Paris.
The Seychelles private sector was represented by Eric Renard of Creole Travel Services, Leonard Alvis of Mason’s Travel, Irina Antropova from Savoy Resort and Spa, and Patrick Genie representing Eden Bleu Hotel. “Incentives and conferencing in Seychelles is now a real possibility,” said Bernadette Willemin at the EIBTM trade fair. In addition, she added that all the ingredients are there for the Seychelles, one of the most pristine and un-commercialized destinations remaining with excellent accommodation facilities – modern infrastructure, professional service, and care with easy air access year round.
The Seychelles islands have benefited from marked increase in air access capacity for the past four years, and more hotels in Seychelles are today offering conference facilities
