A DENISH TOURIST DEFILED (budget gorilla trekking)


A man aged 22 was brought before the court before court for supposedly defiling a 17-year-old tourist from Denmark. The accused by the name Stephen Otieno denied the case he was being accused of him of defiling a girl at Asembo Bay in Rarieda district. He had to pay court bond of Sh100,000 and a surety of the same amount. According to the prosecution, the accused had deliberately and illegally defiled this young girl while on her short-term vacation in the country at Kanyakoo village situated in Omia Diere Sub location.

Stephen Otieno was charged with a substitute count of being offensive to the minor by sexual abuse an act that is punishable by laws in all countries and according to the witnesses, this young lady has been in the country since November 2011 and at the time of the incident, she had gone to attend her send-off party.

The court was also informed about how Stephen Otieno asked this girl to take him back to his room pretending to have forgotten his mobile phone before he committed the crime.  Prosecution also told the court that these two had established some sort of friendship for about three month which she had spent in the country. However, the Bondo resident magistrate Margret Nafula gave in to the appeal of bond and came up with the date of March 8 2012.
